Scientific Workshops
Discover Galaxy W4M
Level: beginner & user | 40 seats

The goal of this workshop is to introduce participants to the data processing (MS/MS and NMR) and statistical analysis tools available on W4M - Galaxy. Participants will leave with a comprehensive overview of the tools and self-learning resources. Participants are generally “beginners” in data analysis on Galaxy-W4M (no prerequisites required). On the agenda: An introduction to W4M and its tools, followed by a Q&A session.

workflow4metabolomics@proton.me, Cedric Delporte, Yann Guitton
Improving metabolite identification and multi-omics integration using MetaNetX
30 seats

This workshop aims to demonstrate how to efficiently use the MetaNetX platform in a metabolite-centered approach, particularly for converting, normalizing, and reconciling identifiers from different databases or metabolic networks. Participants will learn how to use MetaNetX mapping services to easily switch between identifiers from resources such as KEGG, ChEBI, BiGG, SEED, or HMDB. The workshop will also illustrate how these mappings can be integrated into curation pipelines or used to improve the quality, consistency, and completeness of internal databases.

Florence Mehl, Marco Pagni
GC & LC-MS data cleaning with Cinderella
Prerequisite: metabolomics experience | 30 seats

This hands-on workshop introduces CINDERELLA, an R-based tool with a user-friendly interface for semi-automated and supervised artifact removal. Using pre-processed GC or LC-MS datasets, participants will learn how to perform missing value imputation, normalization, analytical drift correction, and filtering of artifacts to obtain high-quality data prior to statistical analysis.

Mary-lorene Goddard, Nathalie Lacrampe
Vibe coding for metabolomics
No programming prerequisite | 30 seats

The goal of this workshop is to democratize the creation of metabolomics analysis tools through vibe coding: an iterative approach where users describe their needs in natural language and AI agents generate, test, and improve code in real time. A live coding session will demonstrate how to build a simple analysis tool step by step.
